We routinely get high praise from our clients, but it’s not every day that we win an award sponsored by an industry leader in custom finishes for inground pools. We are proud to say we’re one of the winners of Pebble-Tec’s 2021 World’s Greatest Pools Contest. Look for our winning custom pool entry on page 96. We feature several images of the same project in this blog. We chose to enter this custom inground pool for a number of reasons. But, of course, it had to use a Pebble-Tec product to be entered. The client chose Pebble Sheen Ocean Blue for the finish. Earth-tone pebbles intermixed with vibrant blue stones produce the dark blue watercolor. Smaller pebbles offer a durable, non-slip, and stain-resistant finish.
But the finish is only a small part of what makes this custom pool we designed and installed for a Fallston homeowner an award winner. Let’s take a look:
Freeform Concrete Pool Design
The freeform design of this custom concrete pool is reminiscent of a lagoon, and the shape allows for several more secluded nooks and conversation areas. Add custom pool coping and pool decking, and of course, the Pebble-Tec finish and retaining wall, and it’s a thing of beauty!
Custom Spa with Overspill
The client also opted for a custom spa with an overspill into their inground pool, and it’s one of our favorite features. It’s at the end nearest the screened-in porch, and also has stairs nearby for easy access to other parts of the property. Go for a soak with whirlpool jets and feel the stress ease out of your body.

Pool Rock Waterfall
The pool rock waterfall adds the icing to the cake on this custom inground pool. Created with natural rocks adjoining the retaining wall, it adds a touch of beauty and a lovely sound of falling water to the custom pool. With a pool ledge at the base, you can sit near the waterfall or easily climb out and sit on the rocks.
