Our Favorite Projects of 2022

As the year ends, we like to look back at some of our favorite projects of the year. Now, don’t get us wrong, we enjoy our work, and we enjoy every project. But some of them stand out for being unusual or making our clients especially happy. Here are a few:

Swim-Up Bar

When a Harford County family approached us about doing their inground pool design, they had a special request – a swim-up bar. We have to say we loved the idea! We put underwater bar stools in the pool where the person at the bar can serve you. The homeowners and their family can also sit by the warmth of the fire pit. And if you look at the aerial photo, you’ll see the island is connected to the pool deck, allowing people to go back and forth without getting wet.

Rock Waterfall and Water Slide Combo

We wish we could go down this waterslide! The rock waterfall and water slide combo are perfect for summer pool parties. The slide from S.R. Smith helps bring waterpark thrills to this Harford County backyard. And with a weight limit of 275 lb., it’s built for the young and the young at heart!

Purple Pool Lighting

Lighting up your pool at night creates ambiance for a night swim and a water and light show. These color-changing LED pool lights from Pentair, shown here in purple, help set the mood at this Harford County pool. You can automate the lights and synchronize them with Laminar fountains for your own water and light show.

Finally, we like creating landscape elements that complement your patio, fire pit, pool area, or outdoor kitchen area. Retaining walls are practical and attractive elements when dealing with a slope. This homeowner wanted to make use of boulders and low-maintenance plants and use recessed outdoor lighting to complete the look.
