Summer's sweltering heat waves can be daunting, especially if you don't have a pool. But…
Pool Remodeling Ideas to Bring an Old Pool Back to Life
Is your inground pool looking a little drab? Maybe the pool itself is fine, but it’s surrounded by plain concrete or grass. You’d like to kick things up a notch. That’s where pool remodeling comes in.
Pool remodeling is pool renovations on steroids. More than pool resurfacing and new pool tile, it can involve those but also design modifications, new pool decking, new landscaping, addition of spas, waterfalls, and more.
Full pool remodeling is something restricted to concrete pools. We can’t modify the shape or design of your fiberglass pool, or change the tile or resurface it. That being said, there is a lot we can do to remodel and upgrade the area around your fiberglass pool.
Concrete Pool Remodeling
Concrete pool remodeling can add new beauty to your pool. By draining the pool, we can chip out old tile and replace it entirely with new. We can also add a pebble finish – we recommend the PebbleTec line of products. And, of course, if you opt for a new plaster finish, we can do that, too. If that’s the case, we would apply the tile trim on the steps after we are done with the plastering.
We can also install new pool coping and wall caps.
Pool Area Remodeling
For both concrete and fiberglass pools, we can tear out and install new pool decking, being careful to maintain the integrity of the pool. You’d be surprised how this simple step can brighten and upgrade your pool area. We especially like the Techo-Bloc line of pavers and patio slabs for your pool surround.
Now would also be a good time to upgrade your pool landscaping, and incorporate a natural looking pool waterfall. Your options are nearly endless when it comes to landscaping and hardscaping around your pool. If you can dream it, we can create it.
