Our Concrete Pool Installation Process

Here’s what to expect when you choose us to design, build, and install your custom concrete pool.
Phase 1: Initial Consultation With Our Dedicated Team
Phase 1
A Woodfield Outdoors design team member will listen to your ideas for your inground concrete swimming pool, then guide you in making informed choices about your options.
We’ll discuss with you not just your concrete pool and features like decking or waterfalls, but also how your pool could integrate into your landscape as it is or become part of a larger outdoor living space that includes a patio, pavilion, outdoor kitchen, or fireplace.
Phase 2: Accurate Measurement and Excavation

An experienced landscape architect will visit your space to take all necessary measurements and elevations, ensuring we give you an accurate proposal with no surprises.
Once contracted, one of our skilled and trusted Woodfield crews will mark your pool layout and excavate the area according to the design you’ve approved.
Phase 3: Precise Plumbing and Electrical Installation

Our professionals will lay all the pipe and electrical lines your project’s exact specifications require.
Proper plumbing ensures pool water circulates smoothly and supports such features as fountains or water slides. The electrical wiring is crucial for lighting, heating, and filtration systems.
Phase 4: Careful Forming of Your Pool

Our crew members will install a reinforced cage of 3/8” steel rebars into the site excavated for your custom concrete pool, placing them at a distance of 10 inches and securing the reinforcement with a wire. The forming stage ensures your pool’s structure is safe and sound.
Phase 5: Skilled Concrete Application
Phase 5
Our crew will apply concrete— called shotcrete—over the reinforced cage using a compressed air and spray mechanism. During the application phase, we can create complex shapes and designs, intricate water features, and luxurious finishes to make your vision for your inground pool a reality.
Our crews manually level the concrete surface using a trowel after application to ensure your pool’s smooth surfaces.
Phase 6: Curing and Finishing Touches

Your new pool cures for a week. After curing is done, we apply a finish to the concrete. This finish may be plaster, paint, or fixing tiles. We are authorized pool builders for Pebble Technology Pool Finishes, which add a custom touch to your new custom concrete pool.
